Doing from Being

Being salt and light are the natural results of allowing the Holy Spirit to form in us the character and image of Christ, as seen in the Beatitudes. And Christians are called to be salt and light, not for their own sake, but for the sake of the world in which they live. The Church lives counter-culturally as salt and light, and as citizens and servants of God's Kingdom.
