The Song of Gabriel

When Gabriel appears to Mary, he delivers a message from God breaking 400yrs of silence: the promised Messiah will be born to Mary and her soon-to-be husband, Joseph. However, Mary will conceive of the child through the supernatural means of the Holy Spirit, and not by way of Jospeh.
Six-months prior to this, Gabriel appears to Zechariah to deliver a similar message of good news: the one to prepare the way for the Messiah is to come from him and his wife, Elizabeth.
These two messages loudly reveal the quiet work God had been doing in bringing everything together for this exact purpose - the arrival of His Messiah, Jesus Christ our Lord.
