Discipleship Pathway
ENGAGE:
As followers of Jesus, we're called to engage people with the gospel message. We do this by building relationships, sharing and teaching the gospel, and sharing our own experiences in walking with Jesus.
This stage of a disciple's journey can take awhile, and that's okay. As we engage individuals with the gospel, we're also praying that the Holy Spirit opens their eyes, ears, and minds to receive the gospel and salvation.

ESTABLISH:
When a person receives Jesus, and is born-again by the Spirit (indicated by the cross), they begin to live a new life as a child of God. Now they need someone to help establish them in the faith - now that they're a disciple of Jesus, how do they grow as a disciple of Jesus.
In this stage, we establish disciples by teaching them how to live up, in, and out with Jesus and one another. This involves how to abide in Jesus, grow as a church family, and connect with our neighbors.

A healthy disciple of Jesus should want to engage other people with the gospel. They should want to see people receive Jesus and walk this journey for themselves. The equip stage helps prepare disciples to engage and establish other people. The equip stage also prepares disciples to step into leadership, ministry and missions.
There's a lot of overlap in a disciple's journey. It's messy and uncomfortable at times, but each step is worth being made and experienced. God uses it all to mold each of us into the likeness of Christ Jesus. By His grace and strength we embrace what He has for us, as the Holy Spirit leads us across the finish line.

Leadership Pathway
At Grace, every potential volunteer and leader must first be an active attendee or member of the church. This means regularly attending Sunday mornings and being involved in the life of the church throughout the week. Once you've been around awhile, we're going to ask you to volunteer in a ministry team. We'll help you discern your gifting and passions, and then we'll place you in a ministry team that's a good fit (one you're gifted for and passionate about).
After volunteering for some time, maybe you're ready to take the next step: being a leader. Again, we'll help train you to lead a ministry, or a Growth Group, or become a teacher to kids, youth, or adults. Eventually a leader becomes an equipper. Now it's your turn to help people walk through their own leadership pathway.

For men interested in becoming an Elder (thus joining the Leadership Team), take note of these prerequisites: 1) you must be a member of Grace, 2) you must be serving as a leader in some capacity, 3) you must complete the "Gospel Eldership" class.
