The majority of homes around Grace Missionary Church do not have basements. This means that many people do not have, or cannot find, adequate shelter from tornados. Given that our city has been experiencing an increase in tornado activity, Grace Missionary wants to provide a safe place for people to go when the tornado siren goes off.
In the event that there is a tornado warning, those living in our neighborhood are invited to seek shelter in our church basement. See the pictures below for what doors will be open, and how to get to the basement once inside the church building. A staff person from the church will be on-site to help guide people. Emergency supplies, such as water, blankets, and first-aid, are available at the church if needed.
