Come and See

Throughout John's gospel are "come and see" moments. This is where people are invited to encounter Jesus for themselves - the reality of who He is, the reality of what He's accomplished for them. In fact, John's gospel opens and ends with a "come and see" moment.

Twice Mary Magdalene calls the disciples to "come and see" the empty tomb. The second call is greater than the first, because of her own encounter with the risen Jesus. With excitement and passion, she invites the disciples to encounter the risen Jesus for themselves. It's a challenge we should all take up as our own.
