Jonah Runs

As we open the book of Jonah, we find the prophet running from God. And here we pause to reflect on this - what's causing Jonah to run from the Lord? What causes us to run away from the Lord?

Running from the Lord takes us farther from where we want to be. What we're hoping to achieve or acquire pails in comparison to what only God alone can provide for us in Jesus.

This reflection ends with us gathered around the Communion table. It's here that we remember and receive God's mercy and grace through the body and blood of Jesus.
