God Teaches

As Jonah sits in anger waiting to see what happens to Nineveh, God takes another opportunity to teach Jonah about His mercy. Using a simple plant, God exposes Jonah's heart and speaks directly to his sin.

As we've said before, this story will either break our spiritual pride or it will harden our spiritual pride. A Church that's self-righteous, hypocritical, judgmental, and focused on the sins around them is a Church that's forgotten who they are. A Church that's humble, merciful, gracious, forgiving, selfless, and sacrificial is a Church that knows who they are. And these are the Christians this world desperately needs to encounter each day.
