When Paul gives qualifications for pastors and elders, his list focuses on Christ-like character rather than the person's giftedness. And the Christ-like character he gives is essentially no different than the Christ-like character all Christians are called to imitate.

Pastors and elders are to lead the way in imitating Christ at home and in ministry. The character they teach other people to live out is the same character that they themselves demonstrate.

The life of a spiritual leader is marked by the gospel. A healthy leader admits their character weaknesses, and turns to Christ for His grace, identity, and transformation. This applies to ministry life and home life.
